Welcome to the Cardigan Bay Club.
This is a blog written by the site “management”, which we will use to post about our life in Cardigan Bay, to keep you informed of any changes to the sites, but also for us to share reviews of local restaurants, bars, and attractions that we might visit.
So, who are “the management”?
We are Anthony and Kerrie, both originally from Cheshire, but now residents of Aberaeron. We both work locally and feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. We love nothing more than lazy days on the beach, hiking the coastal paths or enjoying one of the many local bars and restaurants in the area.
So, what is the Cardigan Bay Club all about?
Well, it is a place where local businesses can essentially advertise there business for free. Almost like a yellow pages, with links back to their website, contact details, photos and a description of what they offer. The advertising doesn’t stop on our site though. We will proactively share businesses listed on our site across our social media pages too.
In exchange for this, we ask businesses listed on our site to offer a discount to our members (minimum of 10%). This may be 10% off tourist attraction tickets, 15% off food midweek at your local restaurant or 30% off products in your gift store. We wanted to create a way to promote local, independent businesses and create a thriving community.
For members, this could be a game changer. Picture coming to your caravan through the summer and bringing two grandchildren with you. One sunny day you decide to visit a local tourist attraction and the tickets for 2 adults and two children come to £60. If this business was offering 15% off with our card, you have saved £9. Spend a similar amount in a restaurant during the same week and you have already made your money back on the £18.99 membership fee. Everything else is money saved! This not only works for tourists. Locals can use this card for money off in their local takeaway for that regular Friday night fish and chips!
More information can be found in the FAQ pages but we wanted to share our visions and give a little information about who we are. Be sure to check back for reviews of local bars, restaurants and gift shops or just to read about our adventures in the beautiful Cardigan Bay area, whether that walks in the countryside or a party on the beach. We’d lov eto shar eour stories with you.
Many thanks for visiting,
Anthony & Kerrie
